Single Vitamins: Vitamin D3, C, B12, Biotin and E Supplements

One vitamin, one choice. Single vitamins provide one nutrient (or a pair such as D3 + K2), so you can choose exactly the vitamin and the amount — for example when a healthcare professional recommends a specific vitamin, or when you already take a multivitamin and do not want to double up on nutrients.

Vitamin D3 and D3 + K2. You will find vitamin D3 2000 IU and 5000 IU (softgels and chewable lozenges), NOW Foods Mega D-3 & MK-7 and the Osavi D3 + K2 spray. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function and to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin B12 and biotin. Choose Methyl B12 as lozenges or oral spray, and biotin at 5000 mcg and 10,000 mcg. Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system; biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. High doses of biotin can interfere with some laboratory tests — tell your doctor before having them. More under B complex.

Vitamin E. NOW Foods Vitamin E-200 provides vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. These claims apply to products providing at least 15% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) per daily dose.

Frequently asked questions

Single vitamin or multivitamin? If you are after one specific nutrient at a set amount, choose a single vitamin; if you want to cover several vitamins in one serving, a multivitamin is more practical. Do not combine several products containing the same vitamin without adding up the doses.
